Not A Fan

I think that christmas music is way overrated. its not that i am Scrooge-like but i just do not enjoy all of the marketing of christmas. the music, the compulsive need to decorate. it just all seems a little too much for me. I lost my interest in christmas music about five years ago when i started turning to Atheism. i still have a soft spot for a couple songs but i do not want to hear them over and over. decorations always have bothered me and I want no part in the decorating ritual. I know i agree with 90% of people that carolers are probably natures way of saying "I hate you all". I think that there is nothing more annoying than trying to have a nice christmas just to be interrupted by a group of 5-10 preppy (probably high or hammered) people that will not leave unless you feed them or join them. (sounds like an evil empire thing)

I do not find displeasure in the christmas rituals because I am an Atheist. I find displeasure in it because it is a marketing tool. we spend more money and focus on christmas decorations than anything else. I am a fan of the fact of Christmas just not the whole "Deck The Halls" approach.
