Half Life Movie now in the works

So, I just recieved my screenplay for the Half Life movie back with a nice accepted letter on the cover (too bad it's not a stamp. So that means I have until July to get filming and post production finished. Then have it sent off to Seattle Washington. THe good thing is that in August we get to travel to the awards to see who won.

I heard there is an interesting Zelda movie that is going to be in the contest.

Out!

Returning with Ruminations

Today I did my usual foraging through the reliable news sources (Google News, Pitch Blog, The Onion) to find an interesting story. Low and behold I found something interesting.

"Campaign finance reports from Maine show that a Kansas Catholic organization headed by Kansas City, Kansas, Archbishop Joseph Naumann was among the largest private contributors to repealing gay marriage in Maine."-The Pitch Blog

Now the thing that I ask is What happened to Seperation of Church and State? And when things like this happen why are we not taxing the churches. When you decide to send money help politics then you should be helping in ALL aspects.

Now before I continue I want to make clear that this is not my Atheism speaking but me putting my ideals aside to bring an argument.

It was released that Naumann gave $10K to the Maine anti same sex marriage front.

To my Catholic readers out there I want you to reply to this question. Is it right for Church organizations to donate huge amounts of money to political organizations while being Tax exempt?

Torri Higginson Celebrates her birthday!

She was born in Burlington, OntarioCanada, and is most well-known for her roles in the TekWar movies and series, The English Patient and Stargate Atlantis. She is also a theater actress and has appeared in Three Tall WomenWeldon Rising and Picasso at the Lapin Agile.
Higginson took over the role of Dr. Elizabeth Weir from Jessica Steen in a guest spot on the season eight opener of Stargate SG-1. She was then carried over as the leader of the Atlantis expedition on Stargate Atlantis and continued playing that role through the show's fourth season, though reduced from a main cast member to a recurring role in the fourth season. She did not reprise the role for the show's fifth season.
Higginson was once linked romantically to Paul Raven of the band Killing Joke and also (at a different time) to John Kastner of the Canadian rock band Doughboys. Her younger brother Luke is lead singer of the Toronto band Debaser.
In 1995, two years prior to Stargate SG-1's premiere, Higginson starred in the 1995 movie Jungleground with three other actors from the Stargate franchise: Peter Williams (Apophis), JR Bourne (Martouf), and Lexa Doig (Dr. Lam).
