Being an Atheist i get various responses from people who find out. people think that i am right and there is no such thing as a god or higher power. Others think that i am going to hell.
But the best and most annoying response from people when i tell them is that they think i worship the devil. here is a sample of how the conversation usually goes.
"So Ben, I did not see you go up to receive communion today. Why is that?"
"I am an Atheist. therefore i can not go up"
"Oh, so you worship the devil?"
Yes, that is how it goes. i think that it has happened at least 10 to 20 times now. i want to make this straight. Atheism is NOT Satanism. The definition for Atheist is a theory or belief that god does not exist. Satanism is the worship of Satan, typically involving a travesty of Christian symbols and practices, such as placing a cross upside down. So leaders and future leaders, how is Atheism worshiping the devil?

yeah that would pretty much suck. you would have to be retarded to thing atheism and satanism are the same thing! whats almost as bad is telling them your undicided and listening to them try to talk you into their faith like they are trying to sell a car.

Yo dude, I am an atheist and a lot of the people in my life are also. I have never had this problem, although I live in the UK.. nobody cares :) come to the UK where nobody gives a f**k! lol
